Jagger’s Doggie Daycare is taking applications for an additional Dog Groomer as well as a Kennel Attendant.

Qualifications for Dog Groomer:
You MUST have previous experience and training as a dog groomer
You MUST be able to work on your feet for multiple hours a day
You MUST be caring and passionate for dogs and able to groom any size dog
You MUST have references from previous clients you have provided grooming for
You MUST demonstrate the ability to professionally groom a variety of breeds
You MUST be a team player, who can work well around others
You MUST have dependable transportation and a valid driver’s license as well as insurance
You MUST have a valid phone number & email where you can always be reached
You MUST be able to pass a background check with no criminal record
You MUST be able to successfully pass a drug test
You MUST be able and willing to provide grooming services up to 5 days a week.

If you are selected as the right candidate as the additional Dog Groomer at Jagger's, you can expect to receive the highest compensation plan of any dog grooming facility in southern Illinois.  We want the best and we will continue to pay for the best, while keeping our prices reasonable for our customers.
You will work daily in a friendly atmosphere that always puts the health and well-being of the dogs first.
You will also work alongside other dog grooming professionals who seek to provide top-notch service to our growing list of clientele.

The Kennel Attendant job will average 20 to 28 hours per week (indoors and outdoors).  The hourly wage is well above the Illinois minimum wage, (including time and a half on holidays) with a merit raise after completing a successful 60-day probationary period.  Additional hours and compensation is possible in the future for outstanding performance as a team player.

Qualifications for Kennel Attendant: 
You MUST be at least 21 years of age and mature (no baggage and no drama)
You MUST have good communication skills 
You MUST be able to routinely lift 50lbs or more and display no fear of dogs
You MUST have a passion and love for dogs with ability to provide proper care as directed
You MUST be willing to thoroughly clean kennels and floors as directed (including urine & poop)
You MUST have a strong work ethic, and be mature and dependable (show up as scheduled)
You MUST understand that the job is NOT simply playing with dogs, it is tedious work
You MUST be a team player, who can work well around others & follow directions
You MUST be willing and able to work outdoors as well as inside, as duties are required
You MUST have dependable transportation and a valid driver’s license, as well as insurance
You MUST have a valid phone number & email where you can always be reached
You MUST be able to pass a background check with no criminal record
You MUST be willing to work some weekend shifts, but usually not after 6:00pm

Duties will include, but will not be limited to:
* Cleaning Kennels
* Cleaning Floors
* Cleaning Artificial Turf
* Cleaning Bathrooms
* Wiping Down Walls
* Disinfecting Rooms
* Washing Feeding Bowls
* Washing Towels and Blankets (laundry)
* Routinely Watering the Dogs
* Feeding Dogs
* Taking Out Trash
* Administering Canine Medicine under Supervision
* Walking Dogs
* Moving Dogs from one play area to another play area
* Supervising a dog pack at play
* Checking inventory of belonging's for a client's dog 
* Keeping Leashes and Collars organized
* Assisting the Manager with customers in the lobby or on the phone, as requested
* Assisting the Trainer or Groomer with tasks as needed and requested
